FIPS code of conduct

Small Farms, Big Futures

The FIPS Africa Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected of all employees, representatives, and associated persons. It promotes professionalism, integrity, accountability, respect, and ethical decision-making in all work-related activities. The Code applies to staff at all levels, board members, contractors, partners, volunteers, and community stakeholders, and compliance is a condition of engagement. It outlines clear expectations on honesty, non-discrimination, workplace safety, confidentiality, use of company resources, conflicts of interest, gifts and bribery, harassment, and respectful conduct toward beneficiaries and colleagues. Employees must act lawfully, avoid abuse of power, and report misconduct through established channels. Supervisors are responsible for modelling ethical behaviour and enforcing standards. Breaches may result in disciplinary action, including termination.
