Partnering with FIPS

FIPS Africa is the partner of choice for actors committed to transforming food security and building resilient markets in smallholder communities.

Small Farms, Big Futures

Private sector partnerships

Smallholder farmers represent a high-potential but high-risk market. Partner with FIPS to overcome access barriers, mitigate risk, and unlock sustainable scale.

For the private sector, smallholder farmers remain an untapped demographic. High costs of raising awareness of products or services fragmented supply chains , and the risk of side-selling often make the perceived risks outweigh the rewards. FIPS brings  20years of experience in bridging this gap, helping private sector partners open new markets amongst small-scale farmers.

We help companies reach new customers, test innovations, and scale technologies through our trusted last-mile networks of Village-based Advisors (VBAs) and youth enterprises. Partners leverage our networks to gain farmer insights, drive demand generation, and secure rural distribution pathways, and strong adoption for seeds, inputs, livestock genetics, and other services.

How we work with private sector partners

From seed to dairy to financial services, FIPS co‑designs programmes that generate shared value for both companies and farmers.

Seed & input companies

We facilitate joint planning, trial‑pack deployment, mother and baby demos, Farmer Learning Networks (FLNs) and agro‑dealer linkages to accelerate adoption of improved varieties.

Dairy & livestock

We leverage VBA‑enabled Artificial Insemination services, feeding and housing training, and county partnerships to improve conception rates, milk yields and farmer incomes.

Finance & fintech

We co‑created products aligned with crop cycles, youth enterprise coaching and data‑driven risk management for credit‑worthy farmers and agri-preneurs.
